Preschool and Children Birth to 5th Grade

First Baptist Church-Mayodan has many activities to help your child discover who God is and to learn about salvation through Jesus Christ. Check out our activities below.

Sunday Night Activites for Kids
Sunday night Activities begin again on September 19 at 5:00 p.m. Children (3 years through 5^th grade) can learn music, Bible stories, missions, and a variety of activities every Sunday night from 5 to 7 pm. The children meet for their first class, which is called Team Kid, for 50 minutes and are served a snack supper. After supper, the children change classes for a 50 minute music class which includes a variety of things like learning songs, interpretive movement, and handbells. The Preschool class plays games and has a music time after dinner. Sunday nights is a great time for your child to learn about Christ and interact with others at the church. All children’s classes are downstairs and preschool classes are upstairs.
Mission Friends, Girls in Action, and Royal Ambassadors
Mission Friends, GA’s and RA’s meet every Wednesday night from 7 to 8 pm. for 2 years through 6^th grade. Mission Friends meets upstairs in the 2 & 3 year old classroom. The girls meet for GA’s in the 3^rd and 4^th grade classroom with their teachers and the boys meet for RA’s in the 5^th grade classroom. All groups study about missions, missionaries, and how we can help people around the world with Christ’s love.
GA’s will begin on September 15.

Weekly Activities

Sunday Nights

Wednesday Nights

Mission Friends, GA's, and RA's meet every Wednesday night from 7 to 8 p.m. for 2 years through 6th grade. Mission Friends meets upstairs in the 2 and 3 year old classroom. The girls meet for GA's in the 3rd and 4th grade classroom with their teachers and the boys meet for RA's in the 5th grade classroom. All groups study about missions, missionaries, and how we can help people around the world with Christ's love.

Extended Session

Extended Session is offered during the 8:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. worship service on Sundays for children ages 2 to Kindergarten. The children learn Bible stories and about helping others during this time. Also, they do crafts and have a snack. Any children in 1st to 5th grade are asked to attend worship with their parents and can participate in the Children's sermon and Children's church during the 11:00 a.m. worship. Extended Session meets in the 2 and 3 year old room upstairs.

Nursery

A Nursery is offered for children birth to 2 years of age on Sunday mornings during Sunday School and during both Sunday morning worship services. Also, we offer a nursery on Sunday evenings (6-7 p.m.) for children birth to 2 years. The nursery is located upstairs.

Sunday School

Sunday School is for all ages from birth to adult. Sunday School begins each sunday at 9:45 a.m. and ends around 10:45 a.m. In Sunday School, children learn how to love God, others, and themselves through Bible study, crafts, and games.
