First Baptist Church Mayodan

From the early 1900's to the present, First Baptist Church, Mayodan has been known as a congregation of believers whose love in Jesus Christ manifests itself through worship, discipleship, ministry, evangelism, and fellowship and prior to 1900, the tiny area's Baptists gathered for worship at the Moravian Church.

In 2001 was our centennial year - one hundred years of growing, the church celebrated this momentous event with a yearlong celebration and the completion of an addition to the church, which included new classroom space, a library/choir room, new baptistry, and paved parking lot. Ever since the church's beginning, First Baptist Church, Mayodan has stood as a beacon to the people of our area. The church
has provided a strong Christian witness in the Mayodan community in word and deed.
